The Self Evaluation of Video Task

I have chosen this video because this is my favourite film. While I was preparing the video task , the most challenging thing for me is choosing a issue.  Apart from this I like this task . I like having freedom about the issue .

This video is from “3 IDIOTS“ . I have chosen it because it is very impressive. In this scene , there is a conversation between a university professor and one of his students. The professor asks to the students 'What is a machine ? ' Raju answers simply but the professor doesn't accept his answer. Another student says a definition from the book . The professor says ' Excellent '. There is no difference , Raju says the same thing by using a simple language. I think teachers shouldn't expect definitions from the books , they should permit to students to explain their ideas clearly. This film is the best film I have ever watched.

REFLECTION TASK 1/B

Hi everyone ,
I'm going to introduce to you someone who is reaaly important for me.
Şafak Pavey is a Turkish diplomat and politician.She graduated from the department of International Relationships.She knows Turkish,English,German,Italien,Arabic and Persian.She can also speak the International Sign Language.She worked for disabled people in United Nations.Then she returned to Turkey.She was chosen as a deputy.While she was taking art education in Sweden,she was diagnosed with brain tumour.Because of an accident,she lost her arm and leg.Her situation is mentioned to a thesis in Zurich University.Now,she has many important international roles in parliaments.When I read her life story,I felt bad.She is a strong woman.She lost her arm and leg but she didn't lose her life energy.There is an event which made her heart bleed more than the accident.Immediately after the accident,her husband left her.I hate such people.I admire this woman.Being disabled is very difficult in our country.Despite everything,she is full with hope.She said,I want to go on my education,I want to do everything with my right arm.She is very valuable,special.Everyone should know her life and take some lessons from it.

My video is quotation from the film ' Dead Poet Society ' .In this video, a teacher brings together his students and wants to read a poem.A students starts to read.This poem is related to carpe diem.
The teacher asks:What does carpe diem mean?
A student answers:Carpe Diem,seize the day.
The teacher asks:Why does the poet write these lines?
Then he answers:Because,we are food for worms.Believe or not believe,we will die.One day,we will stop breathing.Then he shows old students' pictures.He says,they are like you.They have hormones like you.They are fill with hope like you.They believe,they will achieve big things.I wonder whether they start late or not,because these guys are food for flowers now.If you listen carefully,you can hear what they are saying to you.'Carpe...Carpe...Carpe Diem'
Seize the day guys.
Make your lives unusual.
I like this film and video.I think,everything is clear.
You suppose,life is related to who you are,where you are,how much Money you have.
You are wrong.
Life is related to which way you choose.
Life is related to only the moment you live.

Reflection Task 2/a

Today,I want to mention about the Philosophy of Carpe Diem.I am interested in this philosophy.There is a saying: ''Carpe diem,quam minimum credula''.It means;seize the day,don't trust tomorrow so much.We are always in a hurry.We are constantly trying to catch something.We can't notice the moment in which we live.While we are walking,eating,loving,there are always future plans in our minds.We consume ourselves.
This Philosophy is misunderstood.It doesn't say us,don't think about future,tomorrow.It says that live the moment you have right now.
Feel the moment.The people who live by realizing 'death reality' ,know every single moment's value has this philosophy.
Days,hours,years aren't the unimportant things which can be easily spent.Of course,we can't be happy only by thinking our future or past.Alright,just living moment?It means that giving from experience,memories.Life is the heart of present.Yesterday has passed,tomorrow isn't born.Today is the only one which you have.
Seneca says;The biggest obstacle in life is waiting,everything which will come next is unclear.Live from this moment on.
